Well we made it to China last night at about 9:00PM - which was about 6 am Idaho time. The trip itself wasn't too bad at all. Even the 12 hour flight wasn't bad. We watched movies, napped, and watched some more movies. They fed us 3 times, which we weren't expecting.

All our luggage made it safely. That is a good thing. 2 families in our group did not get their luggage yet. So we were happy ours made it safely.

Today was packed with sight seeing. After eating breakfast we got on the bus and went to the Tiamise Square, took some pictures, then we went on to the Forbidden City. IT was a pretty interesting place. Our guide Michael is wonderful and told us a lot about each place we visited. After the Forbidden City - He took us to a silk factory. Now that was interesting. The lady there explained the process of how silk is made. We saw how they spun the silk off the cacoon, then how they stretch the double sacks to make the comfortors. It was pretty neat. We also purchased 2 dresses for Jenna and Keirstan. The others we will get after we are in Guanghzou.
After the Silk Factory we went to the Summer Palace. It was pretty.

We do have pictures but I cannot figure out how to get them onto the sight right now. I am going to have to wait for our guide to come and help. All the directions come up in Chinese so I can't read them.

Tomorrow is also going to be a busy day. We are going to three different places tomorrow. A Jade factory, Mings Tomb and then on to The Great Wall to Be Heroes (as our guide says). Then in the evening we are going to an acrobatics show. They are suppose to be amazing.

We are really having a great time getting to know all the families in our group. Jenna is asking the guides a lot of questions. They don't seem to mind. She is so interested in everything we are seeing.

We are hoping to get a goodnight sleep. The beds are a bit smaller than our full size beds so that was a little adjustment. They are also very hard. Randy wondered where our pillows were. They were very flat.

The people here are very friendly.

Well I better close for now. We hope to post some pictures tomorrow night after the acrobatics show.
